Sometimes, in common with others who write as part of their work, I ask myself why it has to be done: the simple answer, “it just has to be done because it has to be removed from the congested head to the piece of paper." This is very much how the process feels--it is a way of relieving the congestion of the mind.

So where do all these words spring from? My claim is that they all ultimately stem from the Great Consciousness, Great Creator, God, whatever you see as the essence of life. I don't have this as a labelled “belief”, rather I see it much as I see gravity; it just is, and that is the end of it. I have stopped being interested in why all these words come, but I just know that all those that I wrote a couple of years ago which culminated in Deep Yoga, have once again accumulated in my head and demand to be released this time just as they did before.
